Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced investment analyst to join our team at BRONZE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for impact investing and a strong background in financial analysis and technology. As an analyst, you will play a key role in identifying and evaluating potential investments that support our Eastside thesis focused on profitably moving social, economic, and environmental disparity to prosperity across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on potential investments and document investment recommendations in well-written investment memos
Analyze cap tables, build financial models, and run financial analysis for new investments and existing portfolio companies
Coordinate with our back office team to monitor portfolio performance and draft quarterly and annual updates to our investors
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across our ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, co-investors, community leaders, impact investment and policy leaders
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and new investment opportunities
Continually improve our impact measurement and management practice
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or commensurate level of critical thinking
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or investment research, with experience in social impact investing preferred
Bonus for experience with software development (especially AI), product management, and/or startup experience
A curious mind that enjoys puzzles – we have a very strong escape room problem solving culture
Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while balancing multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for social impact and a deep understanding of our Eastside philosophy
Comfort and ability working with app integrations, APIs
Bonus for experience with agentic systems

Position Summary
The Venture Capital Principal will be responsible for supporting the Managing Partner in running all aspects of the firm. The principal will work closely with the firm's investment team to evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and negotiate terms of investment. The principal will also support firm operations including reporting, regulatory and compliance, and capital formation. Ultimately, the leader in this role will be resourceful in finding efficient ways to deliver excellence at every level for our investors.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure smooth operation of internal systems: CRM, research platforms, portfolio monitoring, impact measurement and management, etc.
Support fund raising capital formation activities
Source, diligence, and structure investment recommendations to the investment team
Negotiate terms of investment and assist in the formation of investment syndicates
Act as a liaison between portfolio companies and the firm, providing guidance and support to portfolio companies as needed
Represent the firm on portfolio company boards
Analyze cap tables, build financial models, and run financial analysis for new investments and existing portfolio companies
Stay informed about industry trends and developments in Eastside communities and share insights with the investment team and our extended Eastside Alliance community
Continually improve our impact measurement and management practice
Attend networking events and conferences to identify new potential investments and establish relationships with entrepreneurs and other industry professionals
Coordinate with our back office team to monitor portfolio performance and manage quarterly and annual updates to our investors
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across our ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, co-investors, community leaders, impact investment and policy leaders
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and new investment opportunities
Qualifications:
There is no single path to excellence in this role. Some potential avenues could include: engineering, investment banking, startup, or prior venture capital experience, but we are open to all avenues of excellence and value diversity highly
This is a senior level role. Candidates must be ready to operate at a high level of precision and expertise with an understanding of the many nuances of the venture capital industry
Existing relationships across the startup ecosystem from founders to service providers to co-investors, LPs and bankers
Understanding of and experience with board governance
Ability to think critically about general performance and impact measurement and ability to assemble the team and systems that will measure and drive accountability across the firm over the long term
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment – we are serious about escape room problem solving culture!
The Principal role provides exposure to all aspects of managing the firm. A top performer in this role would be well-positioned for advancement to the partner track over time.
